AT&T has failed again

I still have AT&T while I transition to Project Fi, because rather than pay the ETF I'm just going to let the contract end in a couple months. While I'm using Fi, getting my AT&T calls is not a problem with call forwarding, but getting my texts is harder. "Luckily", you can get your texts at messages.att.net. Fail part 1: in order to log into that site, they send you a verification code via text message. Goddammit AT&T. So now I have to turn off my phone and put my AT&T SIM back in anyway. I do that, resend the code, and nothing. I send myself a text because sometimes that will bump texts through, and still nothing. Fail part 2: by the time AT&T decides to push the code through, it has expired.
I've tried this six times now and have yet to be able to login to that site.

1. Put SIM card in your phone
2. Use phone as intended
3. Stop being so cheap
This is almost CAD level bad about bitching about a company when you refuse to use the product in the way intended.

don't see how this is CAD level bitching. It's a product that lets you text without having your phone, but you need your phone to use it.

I think I'm going to love AT&T strictly because of how butthurt they make like 80% of this board.

AT&T is on par with the army in the amount they care about the satisfaction of those they have on contract.

Ha! I agree, my bill is the same amount every month. Never drop calls, internet always works but this site constantly destroys them.

This may be a dumb question but why didn't you just wait to switch to Fi once your contract was up?

Myself, I've had several issues with AT&T, but the biggest problem I had was they left my company without landlines for 6 days. There was no act of god or anything, it was just poor maintenance and planning on their part, and they knew the equipment was failing 3 months before that ultimate failure, and they failed to do anything about it. And all they offered us was a 6 service day credit on our bill. I spent many hours on the phone with them, and at no point did I ever feel like they treated me like a person with a problem that they were concerned about and wanted to make right. It's a small business and I know we aren't even a blip on their radar, but it was still a business account. Regardless, I think every customer should be treated like they matter, and I prefer to give my money to companies that do that. Don't you?
