I've had AT&T Fiber for 2+ years now, and have only had 2 service outages. One was for an accident that ripped a telephone pole down and disrupted service for a few hours, and the other was a power outage that took them offline.
No complaints.
No complaints.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. I honestly have had very few issues with the AT&T Fiber internet. Mainly looking to switch out of principle due to the recent media censorship by AT&T/DirecTV. Hopefully Cox will have their Fiber internet available in my area late this year.

Ignoring (with great difficulty) the merits of your political stand, I'm now unsure if I understand what you're looking to accomplish. Either you're taking a stand on principle/politics, or you aren't. The relative merits of the two services shouldn't really come into play. Otherwise, it's not a particularly principled stand.

Well, I have you beat. Have had Cox for 20+ years (AT&T not an option) and I’m already on my 2nd outage already this year

I left Cox for ATT Fiber. I would never, ever go back.
Went from Comcast to ATT Fiber and i would never go back as well.

Why would someone think of doing something so asinine unless moving from an AT&T Fiber area?
Know someone who just had the minimum speed installed and the best feature is the symmetrical speeds. Even 350 Mbps down and up is plenty unless you have a family of porn addicts trying to watch 4K streams of the latest Milf vid. The key is the 350 Mbps or higher upload speed; you are never going to get that speed with old coax cable unless they drop fiber to your house.
Comcast is now launching new services that can barely do 200 Mbps up in some markets, and in most markets it is still at 35 Mbps up. Comcast is rolling out it’s fiber to the home in still certain markets and areas with gigabit pro starting around 300 a month for fiber symmetrical 3 Gbps service.

it varies by area. At&t has multiple metros around the country now suffering from congestion. PON is still a shared bandwidth infrastructure and will see issues when areas get oversubscribed.
I'm lucky in that at&t is really good here but so is Xfinity, EverFast and Google Fiber. I can use any of them and enjoy issueless internet.
With Xfinity's 100/100Mbps synchronous service rolling out in my area for $20/mo, I'll be sticking with it for a while.

When my neighborhood was built a few years ago, ATT fiber has been the only option till recently. It's been rock solid. As someone who is now fully remote in IT; I couldn't work w/o a stable internet connection. I don't need blazing speed but symmetrical gigabit is nice.
I had Comcast for 10 years at my old place and it was a pain with weekly outages that could last hours at a time.
So a couple weeks ago, Comcast became available here and I've already seen several homes switch. In the past when neighbors complain about their internet, I try and explain to them it's their wifi not the fiber service itself. Alot of them are relying on just the ATT gateway to cover a 3500 sqft house.
I bet the number of complaints skyrocket because of Comcrap. Though I am glad there is another internet option as hopefully it will keep ATT's price down.

Similar situation here. My area was built out with only at&t fiber and when Xfinity became available, many houses switched because they blamed the ISP for their poor wifi.
But it does work better for them because the houses here have multiple coax outlets throughout the house which allowed the Xfinity gateway to be installed in locations that did provide good coverage for an entire house. Whereas the at&t gateways always had to be located in the basement because that is where the cat6 was run to from the outside. This severely limited the wifi coverage from at&t's gateway.
