def not, but as a consumer, i can still be disappointed in the released product and call out blatant idiocy/hypocrisy
I've been on android, switch to apple recently, and have been really enjoying imessage despite the other software limitations of iOS
so i was really wanting to love this release because i thought this was supposed to be the big one?
anyways, i just like having different options and with this faceID bs i dont even think i can consider apple at this point.

I must be the only person who thinks that the polished steel band around the X makes it look cheap. I think the phone design overall is great, but that part (I know it's an original iPhone throwback) looks like shite IMO

indeed, and thats the thing, the sheep will cope with any release and rationalize it away in their minds as to why apple decided to design the phone this way; look at this thread, for example.
and, sadly as consumers, we all lose, because the masses will never call out apple on their bs

Yea people have shite all over Samsung for the price of the Note 8 but that phone is jam packed with features, whether you like them or not

i will say, one thing that is great from this release is that instead of apple going with their own wireless charging service, they choose the Qi wireless platform
this means that with iphone adoption, we'll start to see bars, restaurants, etc offer integrated Qi charging for patrons more and more

yea if they would've gone with USB-C on the phones to compliment the new Macbooks that would've been great also. If Apple packages a USB-C to lightning cable with the phones I forsee many people fricking up their devices by mistakenly switching them up.

So 8 or X, is it worth doing the apple repurchase program to upgrade each year? I got a 6 right now in great condition trying to decide whether it would be a good to just get 7 instead for cheaper if the 7 is very good.

I actually like the cutout and I'm really talking about how the glass fits into the shape of the phone. Per usual with Apple, the fit/finish is really good.

I think I'll do the Apple upgrade thing with the 8, and just upgrade to the X/X whatever next year.
