2nd round for iOS 16, Ventura & Watch 9.

So far seem pretty stable despite all the new features.

installed earlier in the week. my thoughts so far:

macOS - Im liking stage manager. not something I would use all the time but it's handy. I like the remove duplicates in photos like someone else said. the redesigned settings seems hard to find stuff. maybe I'll get used to it. finally have a weather app!!!

iOS - takes a little time to set up but using focus to bring up a new lock screen and Home Screen is kind of cool. for instance, you can have the fitness focus turn on automatically when you arrive at the gym and have a custom home screen with lets say the music widget, work out app, calculator, and battery widget on your home screen. then when you leave it'll go back to your regular Home Screen. when you get to work you can have the work focus turn on automatically and maybe have outlook, teams, podcast app, stock widget, and weather on your home screen. also have one for sleep with HomeKit security widget on Lock Screen, automatically turns on low power mode, a few of the apps I use at night, s&p 500 futures on the stock widget so I can see how much money im going to lose the next day, etc.

iPadOS - not a whole lot of changes I've noticed so far. supposed to have stage manager but I have an iPad mini so maybe it doesn't work on those. weather app!!!! still no flippin calculator

Did they fix the bug that goes to the top of the page when swiping back in safari? Or to old cached versions of the web page?

That would be nice to clean up. I expect I have many.

Not just a problem with safari. Does it with the brave browser to. So fricking annoying.

Should I get the beta profile for iOS? Is it stable enough that it won’t affect my daily use? Thanks

Yes, I think so. I haven't had any issues with mine, nor have I heard of any major reports of any.

So I upgraded to the beta and it's been very stable, all of my apps so far are working, and I'm enjoying it. The only thing I notice is most of my apps are behind on integrating the new iOS 16 features. If I remember correctly 3rd party apps should be adding support for widgets to the Lock Screen, but so far the only widgets I can use are apple native apps. Not unexpected though.

Secondly I noticed the MLB app isn't supporting their Live notification yet, so hopefully that comes soon. I'm guessing the other sports apps are the same, but MLB is the only sport I follow that is in season so I don't know about the others.
