I stare at my regular average sized* monitors for hours and hours every day and it is wearing on my eyes.

My company will pay for them, I just need to find some. I have two 21.5" monitors at my primary station, so something that fits those.

Haha well massive was the wrong word...my monitors.

I sit very close to them though and have two laptops as well, so I'm surrounded. Feels bigger than it is.

Just install F.lux. Works better than those screen covers.

I have a few pair of Gunnars I got through promotions many years ago. To be honest, I'd much rather just use F.lux. The Gunnars were good when I worked on a repair bench on other people's computers though.

isn't that like the gamma change stuff that's built into phones & newer laptops?

wouldn't help caterpillar during the day right?

my surface laptop2 uses timezone settings to make the screen 'warm' in the evening and regular during the day.

i turn that shite off when i'm watching a movie on it; screws everything up.

I believe so. It's similar to what my phone does. It adjusts the warmness of your screen to block out the blue light.

You can set it to run 24/7. It's free and easier than sticking something on your computer. Worth a shot for Caterpillar to try. I've been using it for years and can't stand using computers at night without it running.

I work during the day and in well lit cube at the office.

I do the warm thing as well on my phone at 9 PM every night, but I don't think that's really an option at the office. Also not sure if these semi-old monitors can even do that.
