I am replacing a 48 inch tv where the speakers went bad, I am looking for something that has great quality viewing. No curved screen.

I haven't used my tv speakers in years so this issue wouldn't cause me to buy a $1200 tv

I don't use my TV for speakers, it's time for an upgrade. Good lord TD is full of people trying to put down people if you have no input on the request then STFU!

You mentioned speakers went bad as a reason for new tv. I'm now more confused by your reply but I think my input was replacing speakers may be the solution versus replacing tv.
Sounds like you want to pay $1500 and watch the same 720/1080i quality tv on 99% of your viewing your old 48inch could achieve

I want an upgrade in size on a TV that is 5-6 years old the speakers were the catalyst, I made the request either offer an option or stay out of the conversation. Money isn't an issue and I am guessing I will get 4k responses.

Youre being an arse for no reason.
Enjoy your new tv with shitty stock speakers.

That's fine but you aren't OP and this isn't your thread.

What TV will I be enjoying since you know what will I buy? You were an arse for telling me what I needed/wanted and for being stupid other wise.

When did I tell you what you needed? I first replied to help solve a problem.
I wouldn't go buy a new car because my radio quit working.
If I made a thread "suggest a new Silverado" my 2012 Silverado's radio isn't working so looking at options for 2017 suggestions
If someone said "I never used the stock radio Anywau so this isn't an issue for me"
I would actually find that helpful because I would think "well shite maybe I don't need to replace my truck because of a radio that others replace anyway"
This is the dumbest thread I've ever been apart of so I'm out.
I actually wasn't trying to be an arse just giving an alternative example.
For a suggestion go to bestbuy.com - sort by highest price and pick the 55" that takes the most of your money.

Wow you suck at analogies, I am talking a ~ 1k TV here not a new car, I want options on what TV to buy not how to fix my undersized TV with bad speakers.
This thread is only dumb because you decided to take part in it.

I'm looking in the 55 to 65 inch range too. I have a 55 inch LG in the bedroom and I want to upgrade preferably no smaller than 65.

If money isn't an issue buy LG OLED.
Otherwise just don't base your decision on any smart features because they will be useless in a few years anyways.
If buying LED just decide whether you want HDR or not. Most of the sets are interchangeable.

Or the Sony OLED, it even has decent speakers. I just hope you don't want to mount it flat in the wall.
