Amazon Show and Dot Problems

We have three dots and love the ability to play amazon music on them. I can say “Alexa, play (insert song title here)” and if amazon music has it available, it will play it.
We do not have amazon unlimited music.
That being said, we got 2 echo shows for Xmas and they won’t play music like the dots do. Is that on purpose? Am I doing something wrong? Is there any way to get music to play on my show from our prime music library or playlist without upgrading to unlimited?

Quick google search says it’s possible. I don’t have a Show, so I’m not sure if there’s anything special you need to do.
Are you trying to get them all to play the same music? If so, I know you have to add them to the group you’re trying to play to.

I don’t want it to mirror other devices, I want it to be able to play music independently from prime music without having to buy unlimited.

No issues with mine. It behaves like a normal Echo

My show has a delay before you can give it orders, longer than the dots. Try delaying your orders by a half second or so and see if that helps

I can’t believe it was that easy. Thanks for the tip to call amazon tech support. The problem was that amazon prime is registered in my wife’s email address and I had put in mine when I registered them. I reset them and registered them with her email and they work like a charm!

Mine plays music absolutely fine. That's probably what we use it for the most. We use Amazon Music Unlimited so we have access to every song in their library.
