I have had a Walmart-purchased TCL 42" on my screened porch for almost three years now. No protective efforts. Subject to moisture, heat and cold. No problems yet.

I’ve got a 55 inch insignia outside. It sits under our overhang and gets direct sunlight each afternoon. We have it covered with a cover we bought off amazon. It has worked great for us.

I bought a Sunbrite tv for my outdoor kitchen, its a true completely sealed tv, even the inputs are in a gasket sealed box. Looks like its made for rain and dirt dobbers, but the trade off is price and picture. Hard not to go with regular one and replace every few years. Of course the sound sucks on it too, external speakers are a requirement.

I have a 10 year old Vizio on my porch, cover it with a lined tablecloth I had laying around that I sewed up to fit over it.
I’m sure the humidity and dust/pollen will get it eventually but it’s cheap to replace so who cares. I do bring the TV back inside if it’s going to storm really hard because I get a lot of water blown in if the wind is blowing hard, but mine is not mounted to the wall so it’s pretty easy to move around.

I had an rca that last 5 years on my patio before lcd panels started going out. Bought a TCL 55 to replace it. Been up for about a year or so
