Editing because I can’t read. Missed the part where you said everything is wired to the receiver inside. The receiver is your amp. Swap out the volume knob and see if that fixes it. Sure it could be something else but I’m far from an expert.

I am going to replace the knob on the wall to see if that gets me anywhere.
I had to do this. I just searched volume control, and turned out the Lowes in Pineville had one. Works great and I did zero research on specs.

Thanks. I'll replace knob with something off Amazon. If that doesn't fix it then I'll move on to replacing the speakers. I'd like to get some new ones anyway.

Any Yamaha or Onkyo will fill the bill.

Do NOT put it in your attic.

Amp came in today. Hooked everything up for a test and it sounds killer. The Fosi DA2120C is a sweet little rig for $170. And no, will not be putting in the attic lol.

Have you toned the speakers? At the volume control tone them with a battery to each speaker. That will tell you if your cabling at the end of the line is good. Then I’d get an inexpensive tone generator and test from the amp to the VC. Make sure the cable is intact before you go buying parts.

I kind of wanted an upgrade any way. Hopefully the replacement wall knob does the trick. I'm probably buying the Klipsch speakers mentioned on the first page as well. They are 50% off for the pair on Amazon right now.

For $140 on Amazon they are well worth it. They sound great.

I have a receiver that powers 2 outdoor speakers but they were installed around 2010 so there's no Bluetooth. Do I have any options to get these to connect to my phone via BT other than buying a new receiver that has BT capability?

You can buy a Bluetooth receiver that plugs into the aux jack.

I'm using an Amazon Echo Dot. You can use it as a Bluetooth receiver or stream music from it. It's connected to my receiver through its 3.5mm output.

I'm sure my neighbors enjoy me yelling at that thing. "Alexa, play some classic rock...ALEXA, PLAY SOME CLASSIC ROCK!!!"

I have one of these pushing a pair of 8" Dayton Audio speakers with passive bass radiators. It pushes them with ease and is 4 ohm stable and will handle 2 pair when I decide to add more.

Think that Aiyima is identical to the Fosi I bought. Cool piece of equipment.

I'm pretty sure they are all using the same motorola boards. I liked this one because it had some EQ settings to help dial it in. It's amazingly powerful for such a small footprint. I found out just how loud it goes on accident. I tried spinning the volume knob down as fast as I could to avoid blasting the ending of "Killing in the Name of - Rage Against The Machine". Apparently free spinning that volume knob didn't go well and instead it read my motions as "turn it up to 99."

I managed to blast "F*** you I won't do what you tell me!!" at full volume out of my two big speakers for the whole neighborhood to enjoy.

Yeah, mine has the EQ settings as well. And honestly it needs them. Sound is not good without.
