Russians are also insane people who are used to living life in those conditions. Good luck getting American soccer fans to go watch a game in Chicago or Minnesota in the middle of December.

We could have a winter break you know....

It won't be any better in January or February.

It’s very doable
MLS has already played into December
Stop mid December, winter break until late February
The front end and back end of this break play matches in warmer climates
MLS needs to get on the regular football calendar

Well since no one will play at all for two months it really isn’t an issue
Your defense of all things MLS is amazing

You really don't think teams will have an issue with that? For a league that has to compete enough with other sports, you think teams will be ok with not playing a home match for 3 months in the middle of the season?

Sorry for dismissing ideas that have zero chance of ever happening.

If they are already off two months it isn’t an issue, it literally like two games

Ok Don Garber
MLS’s schedule will always be a disadvantage

You don't think think it will be an issue for teams to take 2 months off, come back during the back stretch of the NBA/NHL regular season, and say "hey, remember us?" Not to mention that you will no longer be playing games during the one part of the year with little competition. And the schedule is almost too congested now without taking a 2 month break in the middle.

LOL
Dude MLS plays during NBA/NHL playoffs the World Cup, ,EUROS, Copa America, MLB post season and NFL/CFB regular season and you are worried about that
you are fricking delusional Don
Posted on 7/24/19 at 6:50 pm to pvilleguru
It’s going to be funny when MLS goes to a Mexican-style season

Now imagine starting back up the first week of March after being out since mid-December, except now a few teams are running away with the league. How do you plan to draw people back in when they can just continue watching the other sports?

dude the winter break would pretty much be the offseason they already have and MLS doesn't have crazy preseason hype

yet the euros still dwarfs MLS in ratings in America
shite more people are interested in the ICC friendlies than MLS games during the summer

And MLS has drawn some great ratings by having a match immediately following the men's and women's World Cups.

Many of whom prop up our failing domestic league in one breath and bash Ligue 1 as subpar in the next

both of those things can be true at the same time though

League 1 is great at producing talent, but it is clearly weaker than the other 4 big European leagues.

Imagine suggesting this. As if MLS were in the same galaxy as Ligue 1. The ignorance is astounding.
