It may be too optimistic, but to me, the only way we don't spend significantly (for us, at least) is if we miss the CL. Minimally, we have the unspent rvp and song proceeds plus baccy should fetch a solid fee. The contract extensions will be kicking in, but the loss of three of our biggest contracts gives room for at least one big deal.

Not sure any of our youngsters are close to ready. Maybe eisfeld or gnabry.

The # is priority (1 being most important)

4) FWD: We have Lukaku coming back so honestly I don't think we need anyone... If Falcao comes then great since they are completely different styles, but I don't think we need to go out of our way to sign anyone.

6) AM: No one imo, just don't loan De Bruyne out again.

1) DM: Marouane Fellaini (Everton), keep Michael Essien. This will give us more size in Fellaini and also depth. We can rotate between these 2 and Ramires and Mikel.

2) CB: Someone to pair with David Luiz.. not sure who though. Maybe Jores Okore, he could learn from John Terry although he is already maybe ready to start.

3) LB/RB: We could really use some depth at both positions, I don't know if Bertrand is good enough in the long run.

5) GK: We don't need any, not sure what we will do with Courtois but I hope we recall him and he starts next season.

Honestly I don't think we need many new players as we have so many on loan and some pretty good youth teams.

I haven't watched too many Everton matches this season, but isn't Fellaini basically playing forward for them?

ETA: Definitely agree about Bertrand. He's not good enough to be a starter once Cole leaves. We'll need someone in the next 2 years at LB for sure.

No, he's playing attacking midfielder...but he wouldn't play there at other clubs.

unique situation, because he also plays as a target man in that #10 role...

The only matches I've watched he's played 'in the hole'. He definitely has the size and physicality to boss at any position though.

Any shot that Juve would unload Pogba? Would love him as a Gunner.

He is a beast, overused term for sure. But, not in his case.

As a Fulham fan, I have no idea what Jol will do.

But we need a CM bad. preferably an attacking one, so if this was a perfect world, Stuart Holden would be a great fit. We also almost signed Derek Boateng in the January window, so getting him would be nice.

We also need a younger CB and second striker. We just signed with Fernando Amorebieta and are rumored to have interest in Mame Diouf.

There have also been rumors of us signing Steklenberg soon as well.

No shite, he's going to be great...

If anything, I can see them cashing in on Vidal (~£25m), since they have Pogba ready to walk into his spot... That money could finance a big name striker for them...

I pray that they won't. Talk about someone that we could've freaking used this season.

One of SAF's few mistakes.

Pogba didn't like SAF, thought he should've gotten more PT than he was getting...especially with the aforementioned lack of depth at the position.

Personalities clash, moreso in soccer than any other sport it seems to to me. That kid has serious talent.

Swansea

Striker - absolute must to get a man up top to pair with Michu. He is more comfortable in the hole and needs someone of quality to play off of (Luke Moore has been our best option in this role). I've seen articles saying that if Lukaku goes out on another loan we will go after him. I would have massive wood if that happened but not holding my breath.

CB - if Ashley Williams is sold (and there is a lot of smoke) this becomes a need. Chico is one half, would Kyle Bartley be able to step into the other starting role? He has looked decent in his limited time.

CDM - seen talk of Laudrup wanting to bring in a hard nosed CDM and move Ki into a more attacking role. Jose Canas of Real Betis is the name I keep seeing.

** Make the De Guzman move permanent.

ETA: GK - Vorm has been rumored to be headed to La Liga. Tremmel showed he is very capable of being the #1 so we could afford to sell Vorm if the price is right.

Signed with West Ham once United decided not to re-sign him, on loan at Birmingham City right now. Has been doing pretty well there.
