Sargent plays a major role for Werder, and they are a better team when he plays. He does a lot of things, but he doesn't get many goal scoring opportunities, IMO.
It is very encouraging to have multiple US players in the striker position in starting roles in big leagues.

Holy shite he just got a hat trick
He was really cool when taking his chances. Looks like a natural goalscorer

I imagine Sargent looking at the service Hoppe gets from this garbage Schalke team and turning off his TV in disgust.

Sargent now only has 4 more career Bundesliga goals than Hoppe.

Brooks played all 90 for Wolfsburg earlier.
Kelman subs in for QPR against Fulham.
Reyna and Adams both in for the Dortmund v. Leipzig match.
Dest in for Barca.
Big day so far for USMNT player pool.

Hoppe also got better service and played in a two forward formation rather than as a single hold up man. Apples to oranges.

Tom Bogert
@tombogert
Random Reggie Cannon update:
Cannon started for Boavista today, his 15th appearance (in all comps). It triggers another $1.25m fee to FC Dallas for 25% of his rights.
Total fee is now officially $3.25m for 75% of his rights. Dallas get 25% of his next transfer.
