How many of the MLS/USL clubs have linkage to European academies?
Is it a recent development here to have that linkage like RBNY/NYCFC have?

Those are the only 2 that are under the same umbrella.
Several clubs have some kind of partnership: Dallas/Bayern, Atlanta/Aberdeen, Cincinnati/Hoffenheim, etc.

It seems like to me that is stoning popularity growth. If we can ever get back flow that is not senior citizen talent then I could see the MLS and youth movement REALLY springboarding.

I don't see how not being owned by a European club is preventing growth and popularity.

Ugh... I knew that would spark something.
It isn’t, in and of itself. It doesn’t hurt to have established names come in and give pointers.
Think of it like your dad telling you that you aren’t entirely wrong, but if you did “this” it would be faster/better.

Looks like Kelman to QPR is almost finalized. Reports are that he's having his medical today.

When the hell is Sands going to start getting linked to European teams? Too good to stay with NYCFC for another year.

Does he get overlooked because he doesn't make the flashy plays?

I’ll be honest he seems like a decent player but doesn’t seem to have the incisive passing ability European teams are looking for. Watching his highlights is painfully boring

He's not one to have a ton of line-breaking passes, but has about an 88% passing completion.
His highlights are boring because teams avoid him. You can pull up any opponent's passing map and immediately see where Sands was positioned.
Will likely be his 2nd straight year finishing in the top 12 of the MLS 22 under 22.
