Michael Wentzel was born in Pennsylvania. He's a 18 year old CB that is the captain for Gladbach's U19 team. Has also started the last 2 games for Gladbach II.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Clark signed a homegrown contract. I think he's just on a normal first team contract.

Doyle says "I've heard from reliable sources that the deal he signed has just a clause that come 2022 he's off to RB Leipzig." Say's that's not to Salzburg, that the RB organization is that high on him.

NYRB's academy has been awful for the last several years, so what they did was go find players from other parts of the country and bring them in. They'll worry about the player rights when they are ready to offer the first team contract.
