Our U19s beat our U20s 1-0 with a Llanez goal.

Llanez has been a great youth player for a while now. Pretty sure he’s eligible for Mexico, but he seems 100% committed to the US. Only a matter of time before he gets a move to Europe.

Hearing the Philadelphia Union are about to sign attacking midfielder (and Jersey boy) Brendan Aaronson to a homegrown player deal. Been a good year for the Union and their academy talent pipeline.
17 years old. Has played 12 games this season for Bethlehem in USL. Has started at least the last 4 games.

The Next
@thenextsoccer
We’ve been told that @RedBullsAcademy ‘04 Dantouma Toure has suffered a torn ACL and is scheduled to have surgery. Would explain his omission from the recent U16 NT Camp in Bradenton, Florida. Wishing Dantouma a speedy recovery!

That really sucks. ACLs at that age are really tough.

Tim Howard is now part owner of Dagenham & Redbridge.

I personally think the MLS should be focused on getting the best players that they can on the field regardless of their nationality.
The hope should then be that US talent shines through.

Same consortium that owns the new Memphis USL team (Memphis 901 FC) and the Memphis Redbirds (Cardinal AAA affiliate)
Howard isn’t the money guy by any means, but they have made him the face of the ownership group. (Particularly for their soccer acquisitions)
