Ok so I know mls is pretty low on the totem pole but getting better. I don't know much so I'm gunna start with what I do (think) I know.
The top league to play in is the premier league in (England) with teams such as Manchester United an Manchester city ?
Another top league is the primera league in Spain which has teams such as Real Madrid ?
Then there is a German league which Dempsey plays in ?
All of those leagues send there best to play in a tournament called champions league ?
And relagation is when a team performs poorly and gets send down to say compared to (NBA and NBDL ) ?
Please enlighten me on any more info you deem important to me further understanding the game on a global / European scale ! Thanks

Dempsey plays for Tottenham, which is in the English Premier League.

The German Bundesliga has teams such as Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

The English league is the most high profile with the most money throughout. Man U, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal are the four best teams.

Real Madrid and Barcelona run that league.

Dempsey plays in England for Tottenham. The German league's marquee team is Bayern Munich. Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, and Bayer Leverkusen are pretty high profile.

The top teams from leagues in Europe qualify for the CL. The strength of the league determines how many teams you get in. England and Germany get 4. I think Spain and Italy get 3.

Yeah, that is a good comparison except teams that are in the second division aren't usually affiliated with major clubs. I think Real Madrid and Barcelona may have their youth teams in the second division.

Or you could be trolling, if so frick you

Simple Breakdown of Europe:

-Every country has a league
-England, Spain, Germany, and Italy are the strongest
-France, Portugal, Netherlands, Russia are probably tier 2
-Everyone else is tier 3

Champions League:
-This is where every team wants to be
-An annual tournament made up of top finishers from each league (better leagues get more spots)

How does that tourney work ?

Literally any registered team in England can compete for the FA Cup. Something like 700+ teams enter the tournament.

The weaker team is in midseason for, and the stronger team is using it as a preseason match. LA should still lose.
