Yeah was unaware of that rule change which is a big deal. Now Mexico doesn’t need to do anything in next game and already wrapped up 1st. Don’t know how I feel about it since more games will become inconsequential.
On the bright side USA has a chance to put group away tomorrow too if both group games go right

The fight for 3rd place positioning is where the excitement is going to come from.
Mexico can sit back, but Czech can't. Neither can SK. They have to battle for second, and also battle for a 3rd place finish that will put them in the top 8 3rd place finishers to advance.
So Both will be on the attack in the last game, Sk hoping to finish second with a win, and Czech hoping to at least do enough to advance.
Same with every other group.
ETA: And lets not forget: Mexico's fans aren't going to like a loss, even if it doesn't matter. These are people who throw burritos at opposing teams for trying to equalize in the last 10-15 minutes. They aren't the most sophisticated fanbase out there.
