I always like to see what the people who have money on it think. These numbers are from oddschecker. The numbers vary slightly between the sports books, so I tried to pick the average.

Brazil - 3/1 (25%)
Argentina - 9/2 (18.2%)
Germany - 6/1 (14.3%)
Spain - 13/2 (13.3%)
Belgium - 18/1 (5.3%)
France - 22/1 (4.4%)
Italy - 25/1 (3.8%)
England - 28/1 (3.4%)
Portugal - 28/1 (3.4%)
Uruguay - 28/1 (3.4%)
...
Mexico - 150/1 (0.7%)
USA - 250/1 (0.4%)

Advance from Group G
Germany - 1/7 (87.5%)
Portugal - 4/9 (69.2%) <--percentage fixed
Ghana - Many different odds between 28% and 33%
USA - Many different odds between 26% and 32%

Top Scorer
Messi - 8/1 (11.1%)
Neymar - 11/1 (8.3%)
Ronaldo - 14/1 (6.7%)
Aguero - 15/1 (6.3%)
...
Clint Dempsey - 200/1 (0.5%)
Jozy Altidore - 250/1 (0.4%)

Spain and Italy stand out to me with those odds.

I was a little annoyed that Mexico had better odds than us, but I guess that's due to our difficult group.

My current wagers:

To win:

Argentina (5/1) - South American teams have won 4 out of 4 WCs on South American soil

Golden Boot:

Edin Dzeko (50/1) - easy group, should have plenty of scoring chances

The last one was in 1978. Things have changed. I think modern-day conveniences could make it better on the European teams. However, the refs and the fans will certainly still aid the South American squads.

I would rather increase the payout by five times and go with Italy who is still an elite team.

I like your Dzeko pick. What are the odds on Higuian? He is playing striker for Argentina.

Higuian is around 20/1

Both Argentina and Bosnia get Iran and may add a few goals over teams with tougher groups.

However, Higuian doesn't take PKs.

Benzema at around 30/1, Balotelli at 35/1, Alexis Sanchez is 66/1 seem decent long shot bets.

Golden Ball (Best Overall Player) Odds:

Neymar: ~13/2
Messi: 8/1
Cristiano: Ranges from 16/1 to as low as 9/1
Iniesta, Aguero and Suarez: 20 or 25/1

Marco Reus is the most interesting bet to me with some bookies giving him 40/1 odds. (Most have him around 25-33/1)

Italy seems like a good bet at 25/1.

Muller at around 30:1 is not bad. Cesc, Hazard, and Yaya could all be good long shot bids.

I am talking about Golden Boot.

Thats who I would take.

Though I don't think he'll be used quite like he was last WC - mostly due to no Gomez, etc.

I dont know if you can set up accounts in the USA, but Paddy power currently has an offer that if you bet £20 ($33) on someone to be top goalscorer regardles of if they win or not they will give you a £5 ($8) free bet for every goal they score.

I hate Messi, and love that he chokes at the WC, but given tehir group I am all over him to be TGS.
I would have done Benzema but no Nasri makes me like the look of the french alot less

I have money on Chile and Columbia, was able to get them at 35/1 and 40/1 early with betonline. Great value in both bets.

Im on Messi (7/1), Fred (20/1) Lukaku (20/1) and a nicer homer pick of Sturridger (50/1) for top goalscorer

7.5:1 on Spain is the best move by far.
