I hate the whole "playoffs are everything" mindset in American sports, it's one of the things that drew me to soccer in the first place. I realize the schedule is unbalanced right now but one day could we get to the point where the SS winner is considered the "real" MLS champion?

That would probably mean promotion and relegation as well,so you already know the answer to that.

I hope not, playoffs are awesome. We don't have to be like everyone else.

Besides, it's not just an American thing. More soccer leagues have playoffs than you think, including Liga MX.

The only awesome soccer playoffs is the promotion ones in England or in other parts of Europe when the higher division facing the lower division to see who gets the spot

I prefer germanys system to englands version. If we get to 32 teams ,which i believe we will, we could have MLS and MLS2 just by bringing up 3 or so more NASL teams there could be to 18 team leagues with close to the same profit for both leagues to operate. This would create 4 divisions with the NASL and USL pro. I dont think we are far off just need the rite push from upper management of the leagues to get the ball rolling.

Hockey is my, eh, 5th favorite sport.

But definitely the best post-season sport.

I doubt it and I hope it never happens.

I realize this is unpopular on this Eurocentric board but I love the mls playoffs. This is America and we love playoffs, it really is that simple. And I absolutely believe that you don't have to do it just the way Europe does it. Again, I'm sure that is blasphemy to some on here.

The CL is essentially a playoff so you euro lovers do in fact love playoffs. You just don't love mls playoffs. You should, it's great fun.
