Can you show me a picture of Germany playing a WC match in a green kit? My Google search takes me back to 1980. I see they wore them for one match at Euro 2016 but I didn’t watch Euro bc I was on the front lines of the Great Meme War all summer

No one on here has been able to explain why Germany are wearing green and Colombia are wearing Denver Broncos duds.
Green has been Germany's away kit since the 1950's, colors that are derived from the DFB's badge.
Dark blue was first worn by Colombia in the 1950's as well, and I believe one of the secondary colors of the Colombia Football Federation is dark blue. You are amazingly and consistently ignorant.

BUT WHERE DID THE BLUE COME FROM?!?!?
Posted on 6/30/18 at 2:11 pm to crazy4lsu
But the blue / orange combo came from nowhere - you’re being disingenuous

Nope. The orange came from when the Colombia Football Federation was reorganized in the 1970's and wanted to emulate the Dutch teams of that era. You are being purposefully ignorant and obtuse for some reason.

He doesn’t know anything about the history of the game. He’s just here to dump on soccer and post ‘Trumpy’ things

Germany has worn green since the 40s

The Ireland story isn't true. The DFB registered the national team colors as green and white initially but they always wore the colors of Prussia and the Reich, black and white. They introduced red early on as well. Following their ban from the 1950 world cup, they decided to distance themselves from their history so they came out in their first friendly post world cup against Turkey wearing all green.

I don't know the history but Germany has worn green since I was a niño.

We don't have to pick them out of a lineup.
If you watch the introduction you learn the kits for the day.
Announcer mentioned that Uruguay chose colors so Portugal in white.
