Why are MLS teams still training if they are eliminated from playoffs?

Inter Miami are training and playing friendlies. Is this normal?

I do not know about Inter Miami, but the CONCACAF Champions' League runs through the "rest of the world" football season and not the MLS season.

It doesn't matter if they are off the playoff, they still need to train and be in good fit.
