Hurzeler is a central midfielder who captained Germany's U-17 team and played on Bayern's Reserve team at 17, skipping the U-19 team. I'd like to see him make the jump to Bayern's full team in the next couple of years.
Just out of curiosity, why is he choosing to play for the US, and what's his connection to America?

He was born in Houston. I don't know the specifics of why he chose the USA, probably thought it'd be easier to break through to the national team and Rongen is AWESOME.

I was surprised because he was the captain of the U-17 national team and apparently the youngest player on the Bayern Munich reserve team. I'm surprised, but I'm happy about it and I hope to see him play soon.

We're probably paying these guys to choose the USA
Calipari is recruiting them.

Rongen
Guy must be doing some serious recruiting. He needs to speak with Hoyos and maybe some others, but he seems to be on a roll.

Raheem Sterling, as well...

he's going to need a pretty impressive roll to redeem himself

Well, Rongen certainly said some discouraging and false things about me. Never in my life have I heard that a high level coach publicly criticizes a player. Professional coaches do that one-on-one with the player. I find this disappointing, because a few months later after Rongen said I was not good enough for the U-20s, I played a very good season and started getting calls from various countries [U.S. included] for the full men's team. I still don't know what he saw in the other players, and what he didn't see in me.

Getting this German guy more than makes up for losing some player to Serbia, IMO.

Subotic would have probably terrorized our country since he's a piece of shite Serb. Rongen knew what he was doing.

I think it's great that we don't let political correctness get in the way of comedy, but promise me you won't go too hard on India if we ever play them.
