I think this year will be tougher to call than last year. My best guess (no particular order):

1. Man City
2. Man United
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal

Other serious contenders include Newcastle, Tottenham (meh), and possibly Liverpool if they get their shite together. Swansea has been on a tear but I don't think they will scratch the top 6. I could be proven wrong, though.

What y'all say?

I think you nailed it. However, I don't think Newcastle will be a contender this year. I think they, and Everton will finish somewhere between 7-9.

I think Everton has a better chance than Newcastle. Swansea would be fricking awesome, but let's not get too excited. Wolves were on top of the table three weeks in last year.

I love Everton this year. I think they'll compete, but just miss out on it. I have them finishing 6th.

Ironic, isn't it? I'm not going to deny the skill of a team no matter how much I dislike them, though.

I think Everton have a chance at getting that Europa spot back. I'd be excited for that.

In order of likely hood...your stone cold locks are City and United. Tier two is probably Chelsea and Arsenal. Tier three is Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham.

Tottenham have looked pretty bad thus far. I'm not convinced AVB is that great of a coach. If Swansea keep playing like they're playing I would add them into tier 3.

Chelsea has been playing really well. If they keep playing this way I might put them in tier 1.5. They certainly look better than Arsenal at the moment.

Agree to an extent.

2 games is so early in the season, it's difficult to tell how teams will look over the long haul.

Another problem is that the transfer window isn't closed yet... Very soon though.

Calling Chelsea a definite is a definite stretch to me. I'm not sure about Arsenal, either.

I want to say that Arsenal will drop out of top 4 this year, but Wenger always manages to get the team in the top 4 no matter what circumstances. I think this is actually what the top 4 will consist of, not necessarily that order though.

I think Liverpool gets 5th with a strong late-season push.

Agreed.

I will reserve judgement on Swansea just a bit longer. They are built to succeed though.

Their lack of success has nothing to do with AVB thus far. He is such an easy target right now.

If Tottenham get Moutinho, and once Ade comes back into the squad, then we can judge AVB.
