i think finn mccools has come up a lot around here. if you don't feel like getting up as early as many of these posters are advocating, shoot for somewhere like cooter brown's

Glass which of those would you recommend so I don't have to be there at sun up?

Bruno's. They will open early and have good bar food. I ate lunch there on Monday and the bartender said they will be open early.

if anyone is out anywhere and reading this, it'd be a big help if you could give an update as to how crowded it is where you are and if it's worthwhile to stop by

6 miles or so; it's Uptown near Tulane.

Bmac...I'm not in New Orleans, but possibly try Ryan's Irish Pub at Decatur and Bienville (241 Decatur)if you're already in the Quarter.

I have no idea how crowded it is.

that might be the move for me. It's a couple blocks away and she says they don't get crowded til right before the game. No food though, so I'll prob have to eat some boogers or something

Capdeville near Lafayette Square is open. Also Huck Fins in Quarter on Decatur has plenty of TVs.
