Last week the talk was him to Southampton
Thats quite a jump
But then the week before that, Liverpool was in the conversation.
It's to the point where I tend to believe his agent is leaking big clubs (who have no real intention to buy) so he can drive up the price to a mid-tier club.

Schalke is so fricking stupid to accept a loan for one of their best players. Not only are you losing talent, you're not getting money unless they trigger the option to buy. Just a shitty club.

Yeah that was my same thought at first too, but I’ve seen somewhere on twitter (so take it for what’s its worth) that it’s a loan + an OBLIGATION to buy. I have no idea if it’s true or not, but that would make more sense from schalke’s perspective.
Otherwise yeah, there was supposed to be massive financial turmoil at the club, why would you agree to a loan with an option to buy that has a very good chance of never being triggered?
ETA: apparently that obligation to buy is only if he plays in 60% of juve’s games or more, and I don’t think he comes close to that so I’m going back to the original thought that it’s stupid from schalke. they could’ve been paid upfront by an English club. Lol
