Here are the highlights from Brazil's 3-1 win over Denmark yesterday. Hulk scored twice and played a part in the own goal.

Below is the lineup they used, although I'm not exactly sure about the midfield formation. They are bringing a very young team with an average of 6.5 caps on the 22-man roster. Only Thiago Silva has more than 20.

------Hulk-Leandro------
Lucas--------------Oscar
-----Romulo-Sandro----
Marcelo-----------Danilo
-------Juan-T.Silva-------
---------Jefferson---------

Bench:
Neto, GK
Rafael, GK
David Luiz, DF
Alex Sandro, DF
Bruno Uvini, DF
Rafael, DF
Giuliano, MF
Casemiro, MF
Alexandre Pato, FW
Neymar, FW
Wellington, FW

I really, really hope Luiz,Neymar, and Pato either start or play a lot of minutes against us. I like to watch them play. Oh, and they are on the Dynamo in my FIFA12 world.

Marcelo is a fricking beast.

I'm glad that Gatso isn't on the roster due to injury.

It looks like Marcelo will be the one marking Donovan. He better not pull another one of these.

Hulk is a big dude. I hope Onyewu starts.

Plus, Onyewu plays in Portugal.

Sorry if this was already talked about but will we have Dempsey and/or Jozy back for this game?

I think Altidore will be back. He's supposed to be in camp tomorrow. I think Dempsey is a day-to-day situation. He said last night that he wanted to play.

From Altidore two days ago:
quote:

Right now, I’m just recharging my batteries and staying fit doing my fitness work everyday. I don’t know if I’m going to get to play against Brazil, I’ll only be in camp for two days before that game. Of course I’d love to play, it’s a great fun game against some great players.

Altidore didn't play because he still had a game with AZ left. He isn't hurt. That is why he didn't play last night.

Dempsey was interviewed last night and he said that he will play when he feels comfortable. He wants to be 100%, and he doesn't want to weigh down the team. When asked about the Brazil game . . he didn't seem to sure of playing. He stated he still has to get some training in and see how he feels after that.

Strong showing against these guys and I'm sold as shite on JK. Honestly I've always been a supporter and loved the hire, but if we could tie or win this game it would be really really encouraging/awesome

I'm just hoping for a tie. If we lose, I want to be competitive.

Jefferson used to suck in the Turkish league. I can't believe he is now their third string keeper on the A team and good enough to start with this experimental group.

Outside of Thiago Silva, Luiz, Neymar, and Hulk, I don't think this is a very impressive group. I think we might have a shot at beating these guys since they didn't bring along Julio Cesar, Dani Alves, etc. Also, this is the weakest Brazil has been in a very long time.

Lucas Moura, Casemiro, Leandro Damiao and Oscar are pretty damn good talents from the Brazilian League... All 4 may be in Europe next season...

It's a super young group. Thiago is the oldest at 27. Casemiro, Lucas Moura, Leandro, and Oscar are as impressive prospects as any Brazil have produced lately (along with the more established Neymar and others). Brazil at the 2010 WC was a least star studded Brazil team in recent memory.
