Yes.. but very talented.
I was referring to the manager. Not his holiness Mario. Balotelli is a God amongst mere mortals.

he's got to be in their squad. giovinco is a terrible midget and i'd be pissed if i was an italian fan and mini me was on the pitch before balotelli.

The problem is that he can do something really stupid at anytime. He is great fun to watch as a player and character, but can you imagine if Italy needed three points in the final group stage match and Swagg was sent off for a straight red in the 15th minute? I would have him on the squad, but he would be a 70th minute sub if needed.
I think he'll be called up for Euros provided he can finish out the season without any suspensions. He's not the only important player Prandelli has left off due to suspensions.
You're probably right on about him being used more as a sub.

Exactly. Plus, historically Italian national team managers have favored domestic players over those that play outside of Italy. He will probably be on the squad barring him blowing up half of Manchester.

Watched on tape delay after work. Frikking stoked.
USA played a relatively poor match against a very good Euro side on their own turf and owned those pasta eating biatches.
USA! USA! USA!

wasn't able to watch the game until about 9:00 last night, made it all day without hearing the result. Turned my phone off, didn't listen to sports radio. Took all the necessary steps.
I haven't had a chance to read through the whole thread, and I'm sure this sentiment has been expressed numerous times. BUT I have to say it, Michael Bradley is an absolute beast. He was all over the place last night. There's no way he's anything but the undisputed man of the match.

He might not be our best player, but he and Howard are the two most important plaeyrs for the US at the moment.

I agree, but I think you could make a reasonable argument for him being the best. Especially after his performance last night.
He's young, only 24, starting for a mid table Serie A team, and performing admirably. His performance last night has to have cemented his spot in the US starting 11. I think if you asked me to rank our players right now, I'd have to say.
1. Howard
2. Dempsey
3. Donovan
4. Bradley
On the other hand, If you were to rank the players in terms of importance. I may put Bradley at number 1.
He's the rock that Klinsman will build around. He's young enough to give the US 10 more years, barring any injuries or unexpexted dips in form, of course.

The order does not really matter at this point. However, it is beyond obvious that these four players must be on the pitch at all times for any important matches.

The only reason Bradley got called up to the Italy game is because of his dad. His dad did it. Not really a knock on Bradley, he just isn't that good.
