US Women are even money v's Japan - good bet?

I remember the women's world cup we were clearly the better side and definitely should have won that match.
Has anything changed since then? Wouldn't we be extra motivated to exact our revenge on the short, tricky Japanese side? Wouldn't the painfully sexy, yet breathtakingly overrated Hope Solo be due to actually come up with a 50/50 save for a change?
All bets only cover the first 90 minutes plus stoppage time, so we'd have to win it straight up. A tie and extra time loses, or obviously a Japan win loses.
What say the Soccer board? Shall I pull the trigger on the

i think it's worth a shot. Japan was holding on by their fingernails in the second half against the france side that we beat. whats the total?

Tough call. The women just came off of an exhausting 120 minute match which will surely play a part in the final. They haven't exactly looked dominant either.

total is 2.5 goals with the over being even money. For the under you'd have to risk $140 to win $100.
I hate betting over/unders FWIW but some may like the over here.

I've never played soccer at any level - is this really a big deal for world class athletes on this big of a stage? Japan just played a tough match as well (albeit not quite as tough and a few hours earlier).

The big deal is the fact that there are only a handful of substitutions allowed. Most starters played the entire game...

Yeah, I think he's asking more along the lines of "how much does 30 minutes more play affect them compared to the Japanese starters who played a full 90"

Not a big deal at all, just something for the media and pre-game to talk about and overhype. US gonna win.
