REFECWEST.

ETA: I will say that I think Klinsmann fricked up with his call ups and mismanaged the last sub.

Alfredo Morales, Juan Agudelo, and Danny Williams had no chance in hell in making this camp and should have never been called up.

Lichaj and Kljestan would have made this a better squad.

I would like to see Lichaj as our LB, Fab as our LM, move Bradley over to RM, and move Jones to CDM. Bench Edu.

ETA2: but nothing serious, really. Just a snubs. You're always going to have those. It seems. Ask England.

My thoughts on the game: The card on Bradley was criminal. I also disagreed with the Edu card. Fabien and Goodsen deserved theirs. Lots of uncalled cards on Guatemala though.

I would like to see a replay on the Jozy penalty situation. And the lack of advantage on the other Jozy situation is terrible.

That being said, Jozy squandered a beautiful pass from Michael Bradley.

We were terrible in our set pieces.

Howard made a rare mistake on Pappa's free kick.

The Guatemalans took advantage of Aguilar's liberal card policy to make the game unwatchable and have no rhythm.

Why the frick did Beckerman come in the 92nd mintue? Why didn't Corona feature at all in either game?

It was a bad performance, and in the last three games, we regressed. Overall, it's not a big deal. In 2006, we were 3-0-3 in our games. In 2010, we were 5-1-0 (I believe losing to Guatemala. We are still in first place right now, lulz.

I don't usually criticize Edu that much. A lot of its about how he only plays lateral/backward passes, and really (I feel pretty safe in speculating on this) I don't think he's asked to play an expansive passing game. He's supposed to break up play and move the ball around quickly. Its when he plays horrible balls on easy lateral passes that I get annoyed.

I thought Jones looked out on his feet after about 70 minutes and got worse as the game went on.

Final point, I really want Canada and an Island nation to qualify.

Ideal hexagonal: USA, Mexico (they are going to make it, let's be reasonable), Canada, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Panama/Honduras (don't care for either team)

if we get 4 points from Jamaica in September, we will be in great shape to win the group

They really need to give Oceania a full one. Whoever comes out of that pile would be wide-eyed and ecstatic to play in the Cup. And, let's be honest, who wouldn't want to watch Spain vs. Vanuatu?

Forgot they were in there, even though I just copied-pasted the team list. They should dominate that Confed.

Jamaica and Canada would be great for the hexagonal. At least their stadiums aren't war zones, our players don't get fricked with, and their players don't fake seizures and hold their heads when their toes are accidentally stepped on.

Once again, frick everything about Central American soccer.

Agree. A lot of criticism for him is probably simply frustration that we don't have a De Rossi or Toure in that role and is hardly his fault that he's best pure midfield destroyer we have and need it to free Bradley, Jones etc. . .
This is usually the most criticized position on any team. Look at Man City fans with Barry etc. . .

But, yeah, I agree that he does make some horrible passes from time to time.

The thing is that, if you have Edu breaking up play, you need more incisiveness from Jones and, IMO, he tends to either be great or woefully mediocre.

Anyway, sucks that we drew but in the big picture it's no real knock to our qualifying.
