Most casual American soccer fans don't even know who the manager is. They know who Brazil is though.

Seems to me like they are just trying to make some money since they'll miss out on so much this year from the WC.
Friendlies against lesser nations can sometimes be half empty. And the TV partners may be putting some pressure on better friendlies.
I'd rather a new coach start out with some games he can tinker with and build some confidence from.
