Not a bad half. Torres looks really good, as does EJ, EDU and Buddle. Bornstein can suck a fat one. Gooch just hasn't looked right the entire day. He is slow, looks a little gimpy, and DIDN'T JUMP!!!!!!

Goodson gave the "foul", though Bornstein was out of position.

We played great in possession the first 25 or so minutes, and then we started that lame Bob Ball kick and run shite.

So what are your assessments on individual players?
Beasley hasn't done nearly enough for me to allow him on the final roster.
Bornstein is as always a completely worthless player.
Edu is as usual very active in the defensive role. I just can't understand him as a Center Mid, because he is far too defensive minded.
Buddle looks very good, he truly is in form right now.
Can't say I've even noticed Torres, which sucks. I wanted him to make the cut. Although, he has been distributing quick and simple/easy square passes.
Holden surprisingly doing well, since he is fairly recently just back from a terrible injury.
Gooch looks slow and lethargic, aka probably shite tastic shape.
I cant say good or bad for Johnson up top, he is good for him, but nothing spectacular.

HT thoughts: Buddle and Edu look great. Beasley and EJ have looked good since they switched positions. Onyewu's looked slow and scared. Bornstein needs to be removed and a plastic bag put out there in his place.

Despite conceding that iffy foul, Goodson has been a rock today.

How, he is the only one that consistently has good touches. I actually think he has looked very good in the middle.

Goodson set up the Edu goal and has been a beast in the air tonight making up for Gooch's rustiness.

All in all, not bad. Edu does really well positionally, and probably breaks up play better than Bradley. Torres looks really impressive moving the ball around. Dolo looks decent going forward. It's unfortunate that the Czech's are playing their left back so high up the field which limits what Holden can do, but he got involved in play really well. EJ looks alright, Buddle looks like a workshorse, and Beasley is playing pretty well.

True. I guess he's been busy cleaning up a lot of mess out there.

he was plenty active that is for certain, I was frankly amazed by that. He looked like he did his first WC campaign. But he did really force balls up the left flank.
I did like the way he drifted around the pitch though, gave us more option.
When I say didn't do enough, its because he has been god awful for us lately and I really don't want to award someone that opportunity if they are just going to revert back to their old playing ways. He might just be busting his arse to make this cut and then might relax right after?

Beasley has done some "small things" that other have not. He earned a corner and I saw him hustling back on D.
I think his experience will help in SA.
