It seems like the boys are preparing for this as truly a glorified scrimmage. I only have two wishes: no one gets hurt and Robbie Findley gets cut immediately afterward

Come on you YANKS!

I'll go with 3-1 to the Yanks with Herculez Gomez, Jozy, and Jose Torres scoring.

This Czech roster is pretty watered down so it won't be like last time we played those guys.

Really? The pick your favorite Jersey thread has two pages, but the USA is playing a vital warm up game tonight and we can only get 10 posts.

Who do you think Bob Starts? I think he goes more with the fringe players, and ones coming off injuries. He'll rest key players coming off European campaigns

Buddle Ching
Torres Edu Bradley Holden
Bocanegra Goodson Onyewu Spector
Howard

Subs - Not sure what the limit is tonight
Beasley for Torres
Findley for Buddle
Clark for Edu

If it was me I'd play the first team and bring in your fringe players to start the second half, I just don't see Bob doing it that way.

This thread will pick up as the game moves closer.

If there is any game to do it, it would be this one. Baby Bradley will probably be playing though it wouldn't hurt to rest him and try someone else in that role. I feel like Beasley should start to see if he has anything left.

What were we thinking?
US Soccer preview

I think he gets 6 subs tonight.
I think Ching rides the pine as he's a given for S.A.
Buddle/Gomez both play.
I think Landon is going to start so that he can play with Buddle.
Bedoya and Holden are midfield subs.
Pearce will get in at some point.
Guzan plays 90 minutes.

I like all your picks but this one, I imagine Guzan is 3rd on the depth chart as of now. If anyone but Howard plays it has to be Marcus. I think Bob goes with Howard though. Minimal injury risk, and probably won't have to over exert himself.

Ives and Grant Wahl think we'll see more of the fringe players, because Bob plans on making his cuts after the game.

Jed: Because it is an FIFA sanctioned international friendly, each team will have 6 allowed substitutions.

I bet we see Jozy partnered with another forward today to see who he feel comfortable with in Bob's 4-4-2.

Howard

Spector Gooch DeMerit BocaJuniors

Holden Edu Bradley Donovan

Jozy Gomez

Edu for Torres
Holden for Kljestan
Jozy for Buddle
Gomez for Ching/Johnson
Pearce for Spector
Bornstein for Bocajuniors

Seems like he needs to settle on a #2. I didn't know that Guzan was considered #3. I heard that Hanneman had a good season with Wolverhampton, but I guess I just haven't seen him in the U.S. goal so I'm thinking Bradley will want to evaluate him. Looked up his Wikipedia just now and saw that his first cap was in 1994. Wow.

Torres still doesn't play outside mid, FYI.

He has for the US, and there's no way he'd make the roster as a center mid. Bob like his Centeral Midfielders Holding, Torres doesn't fit that role. He's more of a transition/possession player and as of now I think Feilhaber is ahead of him in that spot.

I think Bob will look to see what he can do on the left.

Apparently Run DMB played well in camp this past week, so his inclusion in the roster looks likely. However, I think that that may bump off the promising Alejandro Bedoya from the final 23. I would have liked to seen him get some quality experience in South Africa, even if he failed to feature.

GK: Hahnemann will play either tonight or Saturday. Already saw Guzan for 90 against Egypt last year.

Def: Spector - DeMerit - Onyewu - Bocanegra (Bornstein)

Mid: Donovan (Holden) - Clark (Edu) - Bradley (Torres or Kljestan) - Dempsey

Fwd: Altidore (Buddle) - Johnson (Gomez)

Possible to see Dempsey come off (or not even play at all) instead of Clark. If that's the case we'll see Beasley, Bedoya or Rogers, depending on who looked better in camp.
