Did a Korean do the Apolo Ohno celebration?

I only check in on US Soccer once in a while when a World Cup is looming.

Has the organization really gotten this fricking bad?

Who knew Sunil Gulati retiring would be so catastrophic

It’s glaringly obvious that we have no idea what to do in the final third

That looked like a foul in the box on Galogun but who cares.

I think I'm more down on the USMNT than even after Cuova, which is crazy to say when we are less than a 100 days out from a home World Cup.

Even after the catastrophe that was the 2018 qualifying cycle, at least we could take solace in the fact that a 16/17 year-old Pulisic was out best player and there was promise that he and his generation would desperately breath in new life, which the early returns were good with us playing Portugal and France to a draw with squads that were essentially Eric Lichaj and a U-20 team.

With this cycle, we don't have a proven young commodity like Pulisic waiting in the wings (still have to wait a few more years before we really know what Sullivan is) and this generation by & large, despite being the most notable when it comes to playing in Europe, has disappointed.

You look at the guys we started in 2022 and the idea was that they would all take a huge jump entering their prime in 2026. Pretty much none of them have taken that jump in becoming a better player than they were then.

Otherwise agree with most of the sentiment, except nothing will ever be lower than couva for me.

I thought so too. But I still cared then, now I'm moreso apathetic, which I think is a worse feeling than being upset.

I saw a path in 2017, I don't see the path now.

Pulisic sucked donkey dick tonight. Soft passing, extra touches, no 1v1s… just horrible.

Blackmon should already be on a jet back home.

Freeman looked good again when subbed on, minus one pass that ended up going out near the end of regulation time.

Sargent actually made wonderful runs, Weah/Pulisic couldn’t give him a properly weighted pass.

Balloon had some decent hold-up play, but some Zardes first-touch moments.

Adams played pretty well.

Ream played well.

Dest was up-and-down. Still bouncing back and rounding into form it seems, but had good moments later in his minutes.

Freeman made some good saves. Hard to be mad with how exposed he was all night.

His lack of ball pressure outside the box led to their second goal.

Was a mistake to play him on the right with Dest.

I understand that we get outnumbered everywhere, but choosing NY for Korea is wasnt the best choice. It has one of the biggest Korean populations in the US.
Great atmosphere though.
