Making the final is the standard that should be met every gold cup

JFC Lalas stop with the "this is bigger" than the Mexico victory narrative. It's fricking CONCACAF our MLS scrubs should always make the final.

He's certainly earned a shot to compete.

He, Steffen and Horvath are all on equal footing in my eyes.

Should our MLS scrubs always beat the Asian champs?

Tuner, Zardes, Hoppe need to be on the roster for Qualification.

Sands (especially with his versatility), Moore, Robinson, and Zimmerman all deserve a spot.

I think the qualification windows have larger teams than the normal 23 player limit, since it’s 3 games not 2. But someone check me on that.

We looked terrible in the first half.

Glad we have a sick goalie

Agreed, but you can also argue, whether this was our C Team or A Team, this is the toughest path to a Gold Cup final any USMNT team has ever faced.

We played Curacao in the knockouts in 2019, El Salvador in 2017, etc.

Agreed.

Steffen doesnt really play but has the most talent/upside.

Horvath plays/upside not as much as steffen.

Recency bias.....turner just balled out, but the competition isnt the best.

Is there a limit? I know the team will kind of have a "home base" each window. If possible, I could see them calling in ~30 players in case you get an injury/suspension.

I would agree with that. People always bitch when they see his name, but I think he's a lot better than most people give him credit for.

I bitch when he starts.

If he comes in at 60 or 70 minutes he has the pace to create issues.
