Wood has been really good, IMO. Who would replace him in the lineup?

I don't remember him getting anything in the previous two games, but all articles are saying he will miss the next due to accumulation?

The Ticos are up 2-1 which is HUGE for us int he 1/4 draw and you all are doing this.

Mexico sucks. They have the worst fans in the world. Let me shed a tear for the sorrow of a random Mexican fan. Those of you who have had to endure them for a match live should agree with me without argument. The world is not perfect but the AO are saints when compared to the fans of el tri. Its not really close either.

and pretty much everyone else

but, as usual, we're held to an impossible standard while everyone else largely gets a pass

they may have just wanted to watch the game. i'm not a rowdy a-hole to opposing fans. no real soccer experience but in tiger stadium i'm always nice and try to be protective of opposing fans that sit in the stands around me

but i mean, you kind of have to expect it

especially buying tickets in the AO (or students') section

If US fans are worried about the prospect of playing Brazil, keep in mind that Paraguay eliminated Brazil in last year's Copa América.

A. I am a blast to hang out with.

B. Not everybody wants to watch the game from the student section at the LSU game - it's okay to like it, it's okay to buy tickets in another part of the arena and enjoy the game.

If you want me to say it's okay to call Mexicans racist names because they're sitting near you - sorry. That shite SHOULD be called out. You can give them every level of shite without being a bigoted frick.

I sat right behind an obnoxious Honduran in Salt Lake City who was running his mouth in the first half. I Googled how to say "Scoreboard, a-hole" in Spanish and never heard another peep from him. I didn't need to call him a wetback.

*rule not applicable to Carlos Ruiz.

Mrs. Sheep has already sworn to never go to another game against Guatemala with me until Ruiz retires.

Im all for holding our fan base to a higher standard as long as everyone acknowledges that we are holding ourselves to a higher standard.

I dont think anyone outside the US cares to be quite frank. We are getting soft as a nation.

What i meant is, it's banter not bigotry during a sporting event. Outside of that its bigotry. It gets a pass from me in the stands

Even though I wish Mexico would get penalized for the puto chant
