The Nicaragua goalie reminds me of indoor teams that don't have a goalie on the team.

Our quarterfinal opponent in Philly will most likely be Honduras or El Salvador. Then it's the Costa Rica vs. Panama winner in Arlington for the semifinal.

Let's do this.

A little bit of luck

A little bit of skill

A little bit of heart attack

= 7 pts

After the Miazga goal, holden said that miazga may have saved his spot on the roster. Was his roster spot ever in jeopardy considering we already know who we're bringing in?

Paul Carr? @PCarrESPN 7m7 minutes ago

Bruce Arena (6-0-5) has tied the longest unbeaten streak to start a #USMNT head coaching tenure (Bob Bradley: 10-0-1 in 2007).

Damn, 10-0-1 is fricking amazing, I'll have to see who those results were against.

To be fair, Jurgen had us on a 13 game win streak in 2013, but what's really impressive about this current stretch for Bruce is that we have yet to trail at anytime.

I keep forgetting that statistic, that is pretty bonkers.

Is it possible that we don't start all the big gun call ups if we play against El salvador? They're worse than Panama by a wide margin.

The volume of shots we allowed in the last gold cup was fricking pathetic.

Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous not to trail even a single second through 11 matches (990 minutes) so far. Even great teams allow fluke goals to fall behind every once in a while.

It's not like we've just played a bunch of friendlies against scrubs, either. This stretch includes a trip to Azteca, and games against teams that often give us fits like Ghana, Honduras, and Panama.

How about we extend that streak to 14 matches by the end of the month?

Wow. I remember us being putrid in the last Gold Cup, but it's a damn miracle we somehow won the group on seven points despite getting outshot 20-50 by our opponents over the three games.

That's truly abysmal.

Losing to Jamaica, then getting utterly humiliated by Brazil in that September friendly was the lowest US men's soccer has been in a long time.

Bedoya's actually doing good stuff! And I'm usually very lukewarm on him

Look at the level of competition in the group

Bc it's about to get harder. He can't hack it anymore
