Kappa tried to break into the US, eons ago (the 80s, I believe).
They were big in girls´ cross trainers, and sponsored Texas A$M

General sportswear. Big in Italy.

Barcelona wore Kappa for a few years there (when Real was with Kelme)

All my high school's sports were outfitted by Nike, except for basketball which was Jordan brand, so I never had to buy cleats or anything. Always got the newest ones just given to me in whatever sport I needed them in.
I'm sure I've seen them, just never noticed them.
Look, you all know I'd give up an arm for some Nike shite, this shouldn't surprise anyone. All I've ever seen of Kappa is the soccer kit sponsors.

Okay, but the problem here is that you called Kappa a terrible sponsor without really knowing what it is.

Go figure a City fan hates a company with years of history in soccer.

Kappa
Is an awesome kit sponsor. I wish Spurs still had Kappa kits.
Yeah, Kappa made some of the best AS Roma kits ever and I also wish we still had them instead of Nike from a style standpoint.
Tastes differ to the extreme in terms of kits but I've always thought Kappa kits were usually among the best and, unlike most other manufacturers, hardly ever guilty of really bad designs.
All their recent Torino and Sampdoria kits, to name a couple, have been absolutely fantastic, in my opinion.
They seemingly backed off trying to expand the company and seem content now to focus on the European market. They don't do distribution to the USA.
However, they still make kits for a lot of pretty big clubs through Europe like Wolfsburg, Napoli (and, for S, Leeds, and Sporting Gijon for Dandy Lion -- or is Real Oviedo your club?) even if they no longer are as aggressive in paying to sponsor the giant clubs.
In addition to boots and kits, Kappa were massive in Italy for sportswear from late 90s -- mid 2000s. Seemed hard to pick out a guy that wasn't wearing some Kappa product for a number of years.

leeds' kappa kits are pretty fresh. i'd like to see how they'd look with a shirt sponsor though it would probably be something gay like flamingo land (looking at you hull)

Yeah, those are nice.
I like the more simple, kind of throwback to 60s mod style that their shirts usually have.
I like these for Samp and Toro:
