We got a REALLY good side of the bracket if we can get through Venezuela in the quarters.

It should. But it's still not as big a deal as people may think. A lot of small nations have won youth world cups. Serbia most recently and I know Nigeria has won at least one.

Venezuela has been brutal. They have yet to give up a goal and they rampaged through a group that included Mexico and Germany. If somehow the US got past them, they could end up drawing the hosts, S. Korea.

Then again, beating New Zealand is anything but a gimme, especially with 3 starters out.

France and South Korea ( I know they lost) are the best two teams in this tourney imo

It's a better indicator for UEFA, but U21/23 competitions aren't a big deal or even a thing elsewhere.
