Awesome. We really needed to get him. The 4-3-3 will look a lot better with him on the field.

As an Arsenal fan I hope this means we can focus on Hazard.

Remember the last to the minute signing of RVD for Spurs last year? He was crucial for them. I have a sneaky feeling Hazard is a done deal. He and Gervihno's chemistry will be big.

I can't see them all going through. But, Harry has a few tricks up his sleeve for sure.

Good move for them.

Stoke get: Crouch
His goalscoring rate would go down. Do they know how to cross a ball?

Not nearly enough dig for Stoke.

I saw Arsenal was being linked with a move for Yann M'Villa. That would be an excellent move. Wish Tottenham were aiming for him rather than Diarra.
Miller would be fine with this... she think he is well past his prime.

I wouldn't expect Hazard to make an immediate, big impact. Mata could have, though his ceiling isn't as high. M'Vila isn't coming to Arsenal. YG was tweeting about it earlier.

Does this mean Modric stays put for now?

It'd be a pretty large impact in terms of fans and team morale. It might go a long way in keeping Walcott, Wilshere, and Van Persie in the next few years.

I will disagree. MVP of Ligue 1 with pace and quality Arshavin dreamed he ever had.

Arshavin had plenty of pace in Russia. If he spent his 20's in Western Europe he would have been considered one of the top support strikers around. His physical skills have deteriorated significantly, but his passing, vision, and technique are mostly excellent. We got Arshavin for six months in his prime, and he destroyed the PL.

But that is gone. Hazard would be an instant impact for sure. He is a superstar in waiting. Arshavin Euro 2008 was great, Hazard now is on another than Arshavin 2011.

Gee thanks.
Yes I did. And I am correct.

I'm just saying that thinking he will have a Suarez-like impact for us is setting the bar far too high for this season. He's still very young and needs time to adapt to the EPL. I certainly agree he will help morale and is a fantastic prospect for the future, I would just temper expectations right off the bat.

It is a big if that we even sign him. His skill set as a winger is unlike anything in the EPL right now. He played in a better league than Suarez ptior to England. My concern is that Suarez has always been great for Uruguay and Hazard has been ho-hum for Belgium. Adjusting to international seems tougher than club though. Age is certainly a factor though.

I seriously have no idea, but Modric didn't travel for the match this afternoon.

Spurs are about to get Adebayor on a season long loan from Citeh.
