he should be the best striker, pretty much, every year
I'd argue that his failure in La Liga was due to the system he played in. Not everyone can play in the high energy system Barca play. Someone who watched him all year there can elaborate further. Ibra has never had a high workrate and is a striker that needs the ball at his feet quite a bit to be effective.
Also, in comparison, Adebayor has a much higher workrate than Ibra. Dude can run all day, though he doesn't have the awareness of staying onside a lot.
Peeps forget that Ibra nearly joined Arsenal ten years ago. He would have been a different player. That reminds me of all the other players that "nearly" joined Arsenal, Petr Cech and Ronaldinho being the other prime examples.

He might be if he can ever settle down and get comfortable at a club.
i think his inability to settle down at a club speaks to ibra as a player-teammate

i think this is why the italian league suits him perfectly and why he has his most success there
and i think the style and physicality of the EPL will make him lose his mind

and Bayern have upped their offer for Neuer:

Bild is reporting that the Bavarian giants have increased their offer to €18 million base transfer fee with another guaranteed €3 million in bonuses. There is also the potential for an additional €4 million depending on how successful Bayern Munich is in the UEFA Champions League. The two sides reportedly met for over three hours in an attempt to negotiate the transfer. Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge would admit to Bild that "We had a decent conversation.''

I hope they get him. I love playing with them in FIFA, and he would push that team over the top.

Wenger spoke last year about how he had first shot at CR7 and didn't sign him...
Bale was another we were linked to heavily forever but balked at Southampton's asking price.
Also can't believe we couldn't sign Schwarzer. His display Monday proved he had the right amount of class to be an Arsenal GK.

The players that almost join Liverpool kill me...
Most notably... Rafa had David Villa and David Silva lined up a couple of years ago and Hicks and Gillette would not splash the cash...
Also, Houllier could have signed Ronaldo, but it would have fricked up the wage scale of the club at the time, and he wasn't prepared to do that...

Where would this leave Glen Johnson...at LB or RM?
sold to someone like Aston Villa or QPR.

I think Glen Johnson needs to go anyway.

Not for Alves. I don't want to hate Pool, but I will if Kenny signs that mega-douche.

I actually think Glen has been playing very well lately, and would consider our RB sorted.
That being said, if the King makes a move for Alves, no way we have those 2 high priced RB on the books...especially with the young guys playing well and able to provide cover.

He has definitely been much better.
I still think we can find a replacement (not Alves) who can get the job done for much cheaper.
Johnson just seems to be really selfish with the ball at his feet. Maybe its just me.

it's not just you. Dude is a ball hog and isn't much use on Defense. He thinks he is a winger.
