quote:The plan at this point is to get a new manager so they stay out of an actual relegation battle. Ange and the team are that hopeless right now. Start fresh in the PL next year with someone new.
What’s your plan when you fire ange?
I really think this team will finish bottom 5-6 if they don’t move on.

Not sure what a new manager could do at this point except stop the hemorrhaging by solidifying a defense. That would mean our injuries are due to the press.
One thing is true, our offensive tactic relies heavily on the cutbacks, and if we can’t get to the line, we lack the creativity around the box and easily are countered. Our approach is pretty predictable at this point. NF played against this by only forcing us up the middle, but we don’t have the midfield to take advantage. We’d still have a lot of young players and just seems we need some sort of structure/balance.
Love Ange, but his approach would be best in the Bundesliga which doesn’t have the reputation for defense.

We’re starting two 18 year midfielders in the Premier League and one of them at CB. The same players have been thrown out there every three days for three weeks. What do y'all expect Ange to do? Set up a low block with Archie, Spence, Porro, & Bissoma?
No coach will succeed here until ownership changes or agrees to improve squad depth. There are too many games and the EPL is too physical and competitive to sustain form without rotating.
I understand the complaint against his tactics and agree that it can be frustrating at times, but his tactics are not the reason we started the season with 3 CB’s and 1 LB(coming off a major injury).
Managers before Ange failed to maintain form because of squad depth/investment and managers after Ange will continue to fail for the same reason.

He lost to terrible Crystal Palace away and Ipswich Town at home, both with a full, healthy squad. His tactics cannot succeed over the long term.
Spurs league form in calendar year 2024 was terrible, and it’s long enough to know it’s not working. They played 37 league games in 2024 and earned 51 points, or roughly 1.38 pts / game. That’s not nearly good enough.

Yes, those losses aren't great and his tactics have been exposed at times, but to judge him based on the 2024 calendar year is short sighted thinking in my opinion. We finished 5th in the league in a year that we sold the clubs best player ever and didnt replace him. We lost key players in VanDeVen, Romero, Udogie, Maddison and Richarlison(our only striker) for large chunks of the season.
I'm not arguing that Ange is bullet proof, but he has been extremely unlucky with injuries in the 2024 calendar year and we simply don't have the depth to compete week in and week out with the amount of injuries in the squad.
Everyone is tired of hearing this, but Arteta finished 8th, 8th, 5th while they rebuilt their squad. Fans have been calling out for a proper rebuild, but nobody wants to deal with the bumps in the road.
I will have no problem admitting if I’m wrong, but I honestly feel that if we bear down and weather this storm with him we will be better off long term than if we sack him now.

Agree with everything you said.
The ex-player trophy streak continues as Royal wins the Italian cup with Milan lol

Happy for Royal. Guy was a class act despite inconsistent support from our fan base(me included).

We do get some players back before the next leg. Should have Romero, VDV for starters.

Playing at Tamworth is awesome. Wish there was an equivalent in American sports. LSU playing at Millsaps would be a hoot.
