Love watching NFL in Tottenham Hotspur stadium! Nice having the NFL paying off some stadium debt.

It was hard to watch the last 20 mins, gave me flashbacks to last season.

Skipp showed last year that he’s a talent. I’m just not sure he’s built for this type of free form play. Seems like he thrives in a my structured setup.

I agree with you on Skipp, I don't think he goes anywhere based on being home grown. I was hoping he would pick up Ange's system because I like him, and he gives everything to the club. But Monday was brutal, and it wasn't just Skipp, the whole identity of the team changed when the subs came on.

Y'all are spot on about Skipp. I really want him to succeed at the club, but I just don't think his game thrives in this system. He isn't comfortable absorbing the press like Bissouma and Bentancur(when back)and doesn't offer as much positional flexibility as Sarr. Due to the inverted fullbacks Sarr and Madison often have to be creative and flexible in their positioning. Maddison talked about this in the presser after the Fulham game. You will see Sarr move wide or drop into the right back role at times to allow Porro and even Romero to push forward sometimes. Sadly, I donn't think Skipp thrives in any of the three midfield roles. That being said I hope he proves me wrong. I had major doubts about Porro in this system and he has been outstanding.

On a positive note, getting Bentancur back is going to be huge, especially against teams that press high and frequently (basically all the top teams). Having 3 guys comfortable absorbing the press and also getting into advanced positions is going to make us so difficult to predict.

Ref in this Palace game is gonna let them beat the shite out of us today and not a signal card so far.

frick Roy Hodgkin for this performance. This is some of the dirtiest tackles I’ve seen in awhile. Doesn’t help that the ref has forgotten his cards at home.

The ball in play time has to be one of the lowest in the league this season.

Never seen so many tackles from behind where studs went into the achilles of players and not card

Ref acknowledges Ayew’s persistent infringement and does nothing about it

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team be so confused as to how to press a keeper. Every time Palace tried, it practically resulted in an offensive chance for Spurs.

Sounds like they were looking for something clear and obvious to call it back. It looked obvious to me that the ball was moving at an angle towards his body and then hits his arm and drops straight down. The ball actually knocks his arm back lol. Glad that didn't come back to hurt us. All 3 points coming back on the bus to London. COYS!

Also, Romero and VDV are absolute monsters!

The only thing clear and obvious about that review is how incompetent VAR officials are. I guess we should start a campaign to release the audio? Nah, we will just take the 3 points. That last 10 minutes was nerve wracking! :)
