This was a good win! Coming together at the right time, these points will be big fighting for that 4th spot.

Good confidence builder for Skipp. Defense looked more stable.

UnitedFruitCompany, I'm going to assume that you are currently very drunk, but we're going to need a full update soon.
Hope you enjoyed the hell out of that match.

Chelsea get battered, everywhere they go!
Great game. Great atmosphere. Need to sober up and post some pics from today. Kinda mad I missed the first goal trying to chug a beer before going back to my seat at halftime lol. Chick king, while no Popeyes, is still pretty legit.
COME ON YOU SPURS!

This was my first thought. How many fans must’ve been pissed they missed skippy’s banger because they were still loading up on food and beer.

Ok lads! Finally stateside and have had a little time to reflect on my experience. I humbly submit the following notes and observations:
Getting There and Back
I stayed in Central London. West End Theatre area. Took a bus to Liverpool Street station and then the overground directly to White Hart Lane. Super convenient. Could have gotten out earlier to walk up like some folks do but I decided not to.
On the way back, I grabbed a bus down the street from the stadium close to No 8 Tottenham and rode that to I think seven sisters and then grabbed the tube (Elizabeth or Piccadilly line don't clearly remember that. yay cheap beer at the stadium; more on that in a moment) to covent garden. Here, I REALLY fricked up and decided to take the stairs up to the street. Bad idea. 193 steps later I was gassed. Had wondered why folks were always lining up for the elevator that weekend at the stop and not just using stairs on an escalator. Learned the hard way why ha ha.
Around the Grounds
My first order of business was establishing a good drinking base so I headed to Chick King to fuel up. Cool little hole in the wall place with really good fried chicken. A massive two piece and chips was 4.50 - throw in a water and you are out of there pretty cheap.
From there I went to Beaverton corner pin. Little funky if you like that sort of thing. Then I went basically next door to no 8. Tottenham. I will say, regardless of the pub I went to beers were pretty consistently priced in the 7 pound range. Didn't see too many happy hour specials.
From here, I went to the gift shop to get a few trinkets. It's a massive place and its run super efficiently. The lines were long but evaporated in no time. At this point, since I was so close to my entrance, I decided to go in super early ( 2 hours to kickoff) and explore the stadium. Wanted to see the goal line bar and just get a feel for the joint so off I went. oops.
White Hart Lane
I had club level seats. Section 309. I get in and tried to proceed directly to the bar to get a beer so I ask where the goal line bar is. "Sorry Chap, you aren't allowed in that area. You have to stay in your area upstairs". So, no exploring for this guy. Was a little miffed but whatever. My designated area was super clean and nice. Then I ordered a beer. 5 pounds for a pint of Guinness. I was floored. Cheapest beer I've ever had at a stadium and it was the cheapest beer I had all trip. I was all, "Just when I thought you couldn't be any stupider you go and TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF". Needles to say, I found a stool and just gazed at the field and warm ups and got pretty drunk knowing full well I couldn't drink at my seat. Feeling like I'm living pretty clean at this point. Then the game starts!
The Game
As we all know, Spurs had a great result and a great game. Seats were closer to The north end and they were awesome. Watching a game there is really pleasant. sight line wise. But what REALLY made it special were the folks around us. My goodness. They were so into it. They were dog cussing the ref all game. Chanting pretty regularly. Lots of high fives for the almost red card and the one goal I did manage to watch lol. As for missing Skippy's firecracker I was not alone. Lots of folks were trying to smash a beer before heading back. Getting a piss and couple beers in over the course of 15 minutes is apparently not easy to do.
Everyone made me feel very welcome. They also said I needed to stay until next Saturday on account of the result ha ha. Really couldn't have asked for a better experience. After the game, I did manage to grab an attendant and he escorted me from my area through some passageways to the goal line bar. It's a super long bar and quite the place to hang out after a match. Everyone was chanting "Chelsea get battered everywhere they go" and just chugging beers. The bar stays open for something like 2 hours after the game which I think is pretty bad arse. after a couple of pints here, I decided to head back to no 8 Tottenham for a little after match pint.
At No 8 They had a live band and a lot of folks hanging there as well. Some were catching the Newcastle Man U carabao cup final. but mostly they were just celebrating the win. I met a supporter from Iceland and we exchanged scarves which was super awesome. At this point I was running on fumes and decided to head home. What a great freaking day though.
tl;dr
White Hart Lane is bad arse. Cheap Beer, great atmosphere, better supporters, and a great around the grounds scene make this a must for any spurs supporter. Can't wait to go back!

Sounds like a perfect day in north London.
Regarding stadium pricing in England for food & drink (I follow Footy Scran on Twitter), they really do seem to price most of it fairly…and Tottenham is probably one of the more expensive stadiums given London & newness. Especially compared to US stadiums where they are out to just rape you.

That's so awesome. As someone who has been lucky enough to visit a few of our venerated venues in this country I 100% agree. Good to know they really try and keep prices low. If they are that low at WHL I can just imagine what they are at places like Goodison or Selhurst park.
Another funny thing I learned over there....They don't broadcast the 3PM games. like, at all. It's against the law. So I was also shite out of luck trying to catch any early games at the pub on Saturday. Also need a special license to play "commentary" on the speakers at your establishment. Did manage to catch some Rugby six nations though and that crowd did not disappoint.

I found that funny too. When I went over there a few years ago we were at a pub with guys crowding around our phone watching a random game on our US cable account through a VPN
