Yea from Bale... He single handedly won us 1 EPL game, 2 Europa games, and 1 EPL draw, coming down the stretch! Where do we get goals from? Soldado PKs? Sorry for the pessimism, just have seen this before
Have you been breathing this off season? Yeah last season was a let down, but we finished with our highest point total ever and have addressed all the issues that kept us out if the top 4. You are trying really hard to see something negative.

Lots of goals to be had among Chadli, Willian, Lamela, Paulinho, Capoue, a healthy Sandro, Holtby (with some time with the team), and the rest.

Paulinho and Willian have that Brazilian swag. Goals galore.

Clearly you don't remember the fact that we would have been top of the table if games were only 80 mins! I know that doesn't mean anything, but we haven't addressed our D problems! Late goals will continue to be our Achilles Heel until we get a solid back line.
That being said... This is the most excitement in the summer I have seen in a while

I guess the game isn't on TV tomorrow?

i understand.
i want to believe we are going to be better, and we certainly are on paper.. but we need to score more, and thats something i'll believe when i see
the win over CP looked a lot like last year.. score one goal, and then hang on for dear life..
i want to believe that once this team has time to gel (and maybe thats what Europa offers), that we will score and score a lot

That's what I've been saying. It's truly the one thing that we haven't addressed. Now, maybe it won't be as big of a deal if we can build up multi-goal leads this season, something it seemed like we had a lot of trouble doing last year.

CP was a newly promoted and highly motivated team with great crowd support.
Last year I think we would have conceded late. I'll give them a few more games to see if they have that figured

honestly, if we can get better on set pieces, I think we have a team that can challenge for top 2. I understand what y'all are saying, but I'm excited for the season and expect a great finish. Hopefully we are all cheering at the end.

Even with half the starters out we'll probably still be okay
Prediction: 2-1 Spurs

Cartilage Free Captain explains why we will struggle to break the top 4.

Official Lineup: Lloris; Naughton, Dawson, Kaboul, Rose; Capoue, Paulinho; Townsend, Dembele, Sigurdsson; Soldado.

And our subs - Friedel, Fryers, Walker, Carroll, Chadli, Coulthirst, Kane
Lennon has a strain as do Bale, Holtby, VERTONGHEN. BAE looks to be done and I'm not sure about Defoe

AVB said that Vertonghen was resting as a precaution. Doesn't really have an injury.

Figured Defoe wud start instead of Soldado

That was a good counter attack and a great finish.
In case anyone is watching the game that is.

Soldado was going to start today. He needs appearances. Still working on chemistry.
