Zardes was fine tonight. He is a great player to have in the line-up against teams that are just a bit worse or a bit better than the US.

He is wholly unnecessary against teams that we are much better than and teams we are definitely worse than.

The kind of performance we've been expecting under Jurgen for years.

They should threaten Jurgen's job security more often.

How was Bradley? Didn't get to watch much.

Lalas seems unimpressed with him as usual. Exactly how I feel about Brad most of the time

Zardes does a lot right but his touch is so terrible. He is in the right spot, athletic, runs up and down but he sucks so much in tight spaces because of his touch. We are up 5-0 at half if he had a first touch that wasn't lead footed.

I thought he was solid. A 7 out of 10.

My player ratings

Guzan: 7
Cameron: 5.5
Brooks: 8.5
Yedlin: 5
Fab: 8.5
Jones: 9
Bradley: 7
Bedoya: 6.5
Zardes: 7.5
Wood: 7.5
Dempsey: 8

Zusi was really good off the bench. Unfair to give a ranking to Wondo or the Dreadlocked one, but they were also fine.

I thought Bradley played well. Didn't notice him defensively, eased pressure and had some good long balls to start breaks. Pretty good I would say.

This is what happens when the players play well, the manager isn't a total idiot with decisions, you're at home, and your opposition isn't as good as you.

I don't think that was a flop at all on the penalty. It was an idiotic foul but still a foul. No idea how anyone saves the Jones shot either.

Btw Jones has a significantly lighter accent these days.

I am going to be so butt hurt when Jurgen leaves Jermaine Jones out for Russia 2018.

we had about 5 or 6 good chances and Dempsey created 4 of them, so if we are grading players i think he has to be a 9 or a 10.

summarizing the performance in a sentence or less i'd have to go with

"we look a lot better when the other team pushes forward and we can catch them on the break."

"USA = The New Leicester City"
