The record is Jozy's move to Villarreal for $10 million.

ETA: Miazga and Edu were in the $5 million neighborhood.

Yea figured, so that fee is about right

MLS is always going to put a premium on American players inflating the price.

The crazy thing about that move was Jozy was only 18. Twice as much as anyone else out of MLS ever gotten, foreign or American.

Jozy-10 million
GAM to Fulham-6 million
Edu to Rangers-5 million

Other transfers over 3 million are Stern John back in 1999, Dempsey, Howard, Fredy Montero to Sporting Lisbon, Najar to Anderlecht, and Brek Shea.

I guess he and his people don´t think Zizou´s going to be around for long.

No idea if this meant anything or not, but everything I read said that Pep called and talked to Jesus and that was apparently what sold him.

I'd assume it's pretty hard to pass up a chance to play under Pep.

Joe Allen meeting with Mark Hughes and Stoke to go over terms. Swans saying they have to sell Ki first to get Allen so probably not happening

Exactly. It's there to be had. Don't know what the hold up is other than Huw being cheap as he can be. Not like we have spent any money so we know it's there. We have actually turned a profit so far which is stupid considering the needs we have.

The joys of supporting a non big 6-7 club. I probably say something similar to your above statement multiple times per week. Yann M'Villa has been basically begging to come back to Sunderland on social media, he's about as good a midfielder as we can possibly hope to attract, and the club is still haggling with Ruben Kazan over what amounts to pocket change in today's market.

Juve has told United €120 million is not enough for Pogba. Yea I don't see this happening anymore.

And Juve is still going forward with the third most expensive purchase ever on striker in his late 20's. The world is going mad.

I'm gonna be disappointed if they don't get Pogba because I think he's exactly the type of elite player they need to get back to being a serious contender.

And even though I've advocated the position of "spend whatever, it ain't my money," there comes a point where the asking price is going to be too unrealistic.

Yea it's just not feasible for anyone to spend that match money.

Juve is clearly pissed about Morata and are just saying frick it.

Probably one last chance to win it for Giggi.

This is why I'm not surprised at their stubbornness.

But at the same time, it's not like this is FIFA. With all the info being leaked, they're obviously listening to offers. If they really didn't wanna sell they would've told United to frick off and you wouldn't have heard much else. This is all so confusing
