Quite the opposite. It is part of the game
This is the point I'm at.
Literally every team does it. I'm not a fan of it personally, but there's no point in getting worked up over it anymore. It's going to happen regardless.

Don’t take it personally we have a serial downvoter. I’m really proud of the work they’ve put in all season

Yeah, they already seem pretty dedicated in my short time in this thread...

I think you guys have an interesting dynamic with having attacking players of the quality you do paired with his counter-ball mentality.
The biggest concern I see coming with this, aside from the fact it’s infuriating to watch, is that I imagine Kane will NOT want to be playing that kind of soccer. Nor does it maximize his abilities, and maybe that’s why we are seeing more if it at the moment with him out. I haven’t followed the sport long enough to really remember the style of football Mourinho played at clubs before United, but it does seem like he played very similarly at United with how we’re playing now. So it worries me a bit.

That’s probably a solid concern, honestly. Having said that, there have definitely been counters where Kane was a massive factor before Jose came around, so I can’t see myself thinking that is a definite problem. More of a moderate possibility.

Yeah. Even if Spurs were back to playing fun exciting ball next season, and were unable to win anything again, I think it would be hard to hold onto Kane...assuming he doesn’t have another injury that could scare off suitors.
I think Spurs get 2020/2021 season from him, and then is sold that summer, and it will probably be the right move for both parties. Kane’s talent deserves the chance to be at a club where he will have real opportunities to win big.

Part of me believes it is feasible he could win big with you guys. The talent is there, generally speaking. I don’t have to tell anyone here where this team was last season.
I do kind of see it how you are saying, however. In this system he may end up a bit like Lukaku with United. He moved to Italy and a style of play that benefits him, and now is tearing it up like he was before going to United.

I think Lukaku had a pretty good run under Mourinho. It was Ole's system that he didn't fit. I'm not worried about Kane being untilized under Mourinho at all.
I will say that part of the reason I started watching Tottenham was because of they style of football they played. This shite under Mourinho is hard to watch...but we're getting results.

It’s official I hate Dele alli. I broke my remote when he ruined another great opportunity.
ETA: I hate Sons penalty style.

I feel like I say it every week but Dele fricks up more opportunity than any player I’ve ever seen. I just don’t get the affinity for this guy.

Son just looks lost right now. Can’t make his mind up on the break.

Ugly 3 points, classic Spurs

I'll gladly eat my words. That was an entertaining game to watch.

Really should’ve been 7-2 with all those missed chances
Dele & Lucas are getting really annoying

This game probably took a few months off my life. I can’t believe the shocking number of blown opportunities.
Posted on 2/16/20 at 12:47 pm to PhilipMarlowe
This is my take, at least we are getting opportunities, there were games we were only getting 5 or 6 shots off. Surely some of these chances will start to find the back of the net.
