Lamela's work rate in the past two games has made a real difference. He won't get the assist, but it was his effort that led to Kane's goal. I agree that "big if" he can stay healthy he has a solid role on this team.

I agree with you on Davies. I would still like to see the team invest in both LB and RB soon. I realize Aurier is only behind TAA with assists from a RB, but I just think he gives the ball away too much in our own half and puts the defense under a lot of pressure.

I'll eat crow and admit that Dier has been pretty damn good in his role as a CB. It looks like the move probably saves his Spurs career.

Yeah I’m really liking him as CB as well.

Imagine if we had lo celso and Bruno Fernandes linking up.

Maybe Serge goes and we insert Sess?

It makes no sense to sell him if we aren’t bringing anyone new in. Our fullback situation is pretty bad we need to be reinforcing it not diminishing it.

Converting an unproven PL player to a RB seems like a bad idea just to make a few bones. I like Sess I just don’t think we should be relying on him like that

Sess is 100% a proven PL player.
Maybe not at RB, but he can ball nonetheless. I want to say he's had an injury but this year.

Not totally opposed to Tangaga at RB either. But your point stands... I'd probably rather just keep Aurier.

That VAR call fricked the whole game up. Completely changed the dynamic. But shocking defending for all 3 goals

I'm really trying to give Mourinho more time, but watching this team play is like watching DVR of Mourinho's ManU team play the year he was sacked. We were absolutely awful on the break and in the attacking third today.

At this point, it's Nagelsmann or bust for me.

Coming out of ignorant left field here. Does Kane stay with this club for a while? Do they have a shot at any stars that would help get over the hump?

He's been with Spurs since he was a kid, so it's definitely a possibility. If next year doesn't go well I think he may bounce.

I think they're a solid defense/DM from being a contender. Hell, they almost won the CL last year. This year has just been weird overall so I really wouldn't use it as a barometer.

lol y’all are crazy. Kane is gone within the next 12 months. Nobody wants to play for a depressing organization with no signs of getting better. The players the manager the fans, all just there. No emotion or passion.

Badly badly badly need a shake up from top to bottom. Need a fresh young manager that wants to attack.

While I'm cool with giving Mourinho next year, I've also been wanting Eddie Howe for awhile now.

Curious to see if any Everton players try to leave something on Son (or Aurier) during Monday's match after what happened in the earlier fixture this season.

I've watched a few of these ManU games since the restart and I'm impressed. They stood behind Ole when it wasn't all roses and it's paying off. Martial, Rashford, Greenwood, Pogba, & Fernades look dangerous in attack. I can't help but watch Fernades in the 10 role and feel like we should be getting similar production out of Dele.

As much as his football makes my eyes bleed we need to give Mourinho a full year to try and sort things out. Honestly, the players need to shoulder a lot of blame for the Sheffield United loss.

Yeah United are playing really well at the moment.

As for mourinho you obviously have to give him another full year, but I don’t expect anything to actually change. This team is about to turn into Everton of recent years. I imagine Tottenham finish between 6-10 again next season, maybe getting at Europa spot at best. Liverpool and city will obviously stay near the top, and Chelsea and united are only going to be better next year.

Watching these games and the vibe I keep coming back to us LSU under Miles. You can’t really put your finger on this or that or player or coach so to speak but it’s just a larger cultural problem. There is just no passion there anymore. Players are just going through the motions mostly cause they don’t think the manager is putting them in a position to win. The manager on the other hand doesn’t think the players are playing very hard or just aren’t good enough.

Either way, I was hoping the long lay-off would be like a spring cleaning and a fresh start but it’s clear that wasn’t the case. I think now the only real way forward is a sell off and reload, ala Bale.
