Tangaga, Lo Celso, and Foyth all on the injured list.

That healthy squad lasted long

Are the Lo celso & tanganga injuries recent?

Tangaga is. Stress fractures in his spine I believe, out for the season.

Lo Celso happened before the break but it's undetermined if he'll play tomorrow.

Foyth wrecked his knee in training apparently.

Same here! So what is everyone's expectations for today? I'm slightly optimistic, kinda feels like a new season rather than the extension of a season I'd rather forget.

I’m a perpetually negative person so I’m expecting pain, but I also try to leave a little space for hope. Lol

ETA:

So basically I’m expecting this...

But open to this...

I cannot see modern wingers & strikers wanting to play the way Mourinho sets up the squad. If it weren’t for corona I bet Harry would be gone this summer. He will definitely force a move after next season imo.

Spurs vs WH. Does either team get a shot on goal? Will both teams still play 10 in the box? Someone has to try and score right?

Yeah. We better dominate this game. West Ham have been terrible. If Jose continues to have them sit back against a squad likeWest Ham, instead of taking the game to them, I’m going to lose it.

Nice to see lo celso back in the starting 11, but no ndombele again is really starting to piss me off. It sucks though because I’m not sure who to be mad at, mourinho for not playing him, or ndombele for being a lazy frick not taking care of business to get in the game. Normally I’d lean towards siding with the manager since he’s there everyday, but Jose doesn’t seem to be above trying to make a point to the detriment of the team.

Thought we played really well today, had a lot of chances and the offsides on Son hurt. Aurier played a great game and caused a lot of problems down the right side. Still want to see Ndombele and Kane on the field at the same time. Maybe it’s me but these guys seem different after the long break.

Yeah they looked pretty solid. I have no clue what’s going on with ndombele not getting any game time.

COVID was the best thing that could have happened to this team. Everyone is pretty much back healthy and got an actual break from playing. Pushing for that 4th spot isn’t out of the question now. And arsenal suck dick which is hilarious

The Ndombele situation is really odd to me. All of the news during the break was that he looked really good. I don't trust the reports that say he has refused to play for Mourinho, but not getting minutes in this game or ahead of Gedson in the ManU game is a head-scratcher.

It seems like Mourinho doesn't trust him to play more of a defensive role like Sissoko or Winks, but he is obviously behind Dele, Lo Celso, & Lamela as an attacking option. I'm not sure what gives here. Lo Celso has been absolute class this year so there is no chance he takes his spot if they are both healthy. Mourinho always seems to fall in love with certain players and I think Dele is the guy on this squad benefiting the most from that. Dele has been mediocre for the last couple of years and I wouldn't mind seeing Lo Celso play higher up the pitch with Sissoko and Ndombele behind him to form a midfield 3.

I'll eat crow and admit that Dier has been pretty damn good in his role as a CB. It looks like the move probably saves his Spurs career. The penalty against Pogba was really soft. I don't blame VAR for not overturning it, but after he got crossed up Pogba initiated contact and then went down as soon as he Dier reacted. It's still probably a penalty, but I doubt VAR calls it if the ref would have let things play on.

You're pretty spot on with everything here.

Also, if he can stay healthy, Lamela may have a resurgence as well.

Ben Davies has a chance to lockdown LB as well. He won't light the world on fire, but he may be the most consistent player in the squad, and you need one or two of those guys.
