That Son goal was some FIFA on Amateur Difficulty magic

Yep. All I want now is a gd clean sheet. I don’t care how terrible they look going about it, but I just want them to know they can do it again.

Yep. A perfect response to the shite show midweek at United.

Eric Dier goes from not even being on the bench, to captain for a European match.
Mourinho loves him some defensive midfielders

Sissoko hat trick incoming

had y'all +1.5 today. Needless to say, Son botching that 1v1 in the 92' was quite disappointing

Son only scores 1v1 if he's taken the ball the entire pitch. Anything less is well, not worth his time.

So this is what the classic Mourinho smash & grab is like, eh?
I can get used to this

Only the 2nd loss of the year at home for Wolves. Nice road win!

Man I don’t know. That was brutal to watch.
It’s like we’ve just swung from one extreme to another. Poch was too adamant on playing out of the back, and now we’re just clearing it and hitting long balls without being under much pressure. I’d love for them to find a happy medium. So many simple passes there to recycle possession, instead we bomb it down the field turning the ball back over.
Ultimately it was a solid away win against a solid wolves team so it’s silly to get myself too worked up, but I still question Mourinhos insistence on playing Dier. Really need to figure out the midfield and maintaining possession a bit.
Ps. Arsenal. Lol.
ETA: vertonghen is going to have adama nightmares all week.

I noticed this as well. The no-nonsense defending is refreshing, but today was a bit much.
Admittedly, I love Dier, but he's been making up for his inability to run/pass with his lack of positional awareness way too often.

This was frustrating, especially when they weren't under pressure. At least bomb it downfield to where one of our players should be?

Agree with all this.

They had a good spot on MOTD talking about Dier's inability to move the ball forward. He had a lot of chances in the game where he received the ball and played it right back instead of turning into the space behind him or try to make a forward pass.
That allowed Wolves to push higher and pressure the defenders because they knew they wouldn't be beat through the midfield.
Great win though great to see the fight back in the team. Win against chelsea at home and we're back in the top 4

All this here. There were a few times where he didn’t even peek over his shoulder before receiving the ball. If he had he would’ve seen space.
I think Dier brings a certain defensive mentality/toughness to the game that I do like, but he’s just so far off the pace at the moment it’s hard to watch.

How is everyone feeling about Jose so far? Are you still waiting for the impending explosion, or think he has truly turned a new leaf?
Obviously, with the results we've had everything is copacetic at the moment.

So far, so good. Going to wait until the end of January before I start really judging the hire.
I do however think that I'll be a big fan of Joao Sacramento.
